"Navigating the DOW New SBIR STTR Landscape"
On May 28, 2026, NSBA's Small Business Technology Council (SBTC) hosted a webinar with the Department of War's (DoW's) Office of Small Business Innovation Regina “Gina” Sims, with other defense-focused SBIR/STTR small businesses participating.
The webinar was hosted by SBTC Executive Director Jere Glover, focusing on the DoW’s SBIR/STTR programs, particularly how the DoW quickly restarted and reshaped their programs after the 6-month lapse in authority.
Ms. Simms also discussed current opportunities at the DoW, how the DoW plans to implement SBIR/STTR changes under the new reauthorization, and how they plan to comply with the new requirements.
