Two staunchly nonpartisan organizations, NSBA and SBTC play an instrumental role in key pieces of legislation, including past reauthorizations of the SBIR grant program and our continued fight for permanency, the development of pro-tech policy programs, and efforts to streamline federal technology resources.

NSBA, SBTC VICTORY FOR SBIR
NSBA SBTC commend Congress for passing and the President for signing the latest 5-year SBIR/STTR reauthorization into law. It is well past time Washington acts to ensure these critical small-business innovation and technology programs, and we're continuing the fight for permanency for these programs until it's done.

SBTC & NSBA Are Leading the Fight for SBIR/STTR Reauthorization and Permanency
SBIR/STTR are important programs providing critical funds supporting small business - the nation's most important economic community.
Fortunately, after months of advocacy from NSBA and SBTC members, the programs are currently reauthorized through Sept. 2031. However, there is a growing momentum around a new plan to reinstate SBIR/STTR with permanency, and we are urging Congress to and the Administration to further their commitments to the nation's most important economic community and codify this program in a long-term capacity.
Without a path to permanency, the greater the threat is to highly innovative small businesses, their employees, and every business in their pipeline.
4,000+ Companies
SBIR/STTR funds more than 4,000 companies per year, over 1,000 of which are new to government contracting.
